I am a full member of the Australian Society of Authors.
I have a PhD thesis published on the Murdoch University website. It is titled: Caryl Churchill: Representational Negotiations and Provisional Truths. This particular thesis really looks at the different ways in which identity is represented and negotiated, alternately hidden and revealed. I am particularly interested in the ways in which those who have been sidelined by societies might have their voices heard.
My day job since the mid eighties has been in various capacities as a psychologist, which is where other training has been concentrated. This has taught me of the great courage and resilience that people show in the most challenging circumstances. I am currently concentrating on my writing on a full-time basis. The sum total of who I am and what I have learned informs this writing.
